Contacting the Governors
The Governors at St John’s aim to be as approachable and transparent as possible, so please do feel free to speak to us and come along to our regular Governor Drop-In sessions for parents. The Drop-Ins are a great way for you to give feedback, talk freely and raise any questions or concerns you may have, in an informal environment.
We also have a dedicated email address so that you can contact us at your leisure. If you have a question, suggestion or would like information about the work of the school governors, you can either email us via firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us through the school office where messages and letters can be passed on. The email is delivered to the Chair of Governors and she will personally acknowledge or respond in full within 48 hours of receipt.
We also send out termly newsletters which are posted on the school website, informing you of the work we have been doing at the school. All minutes of Governor meetings are also posted under “What We Do” in the Governor section of the website.
We welcome your feedback or any comments or questions that you may have as they are very valuable to us. If we can’t answer your query we will make sure it is passed on to someone who can.
In accordance with the complaints policy (which can be found on the school website under School/Policies), from time to time Governors may also get involved in dealing with complaints from parents. Parents are encouraged to approach their child’s teacher and/or the Headteacher in the first instance with any complaint. Governors only become involved when the satisfactory resolution of the complaint has not been possible.
We look forward to welcoming you at our next Governor Drop-In – do keep a look out for the notifications via text and in the school weekly newsletter.
