Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will ever make and you will naturally wish to find out as much information as possible. Usually a member of the Senior Management Team will lead a regular school tour during the autumn term, however, unfortunately, due to the Covid Pandemic this is not currently possible. We would be delighted to meet you via Zoom, share photographs and presentations of our wonderful school or simply speak on the phone. Nursery applications should be made directly to the school. We are currently accepting applications for children to start Nursery in September 2021. We offer both 15 hour and 30 hour government free child care for those who are eligible with the opportunity to top up hours if required.
We have 26 morning and 26 afternoon places available. In the event of over-subscription please refer to our admissions policy over-subscription criteria.
Nursery 2021 – If your child is born between 1st September 2017 and the 31st of August 2018 applications can be made directly to the school using the registration form below. Closing date for applications 15th January 2021.
We are currently accepting applications for children to start Reception in September 2021.
If you decide you would like to apply for a place for Reception through to Year 6, you will need to apply through the Admissions department of the Local Authority. Places are allocated in accordance with the school’s admission policy in conjunction with the Local Authority procedures for placing children. Once your application has been submitted to the school and the L.A, and in the event of over subscription, the LA will refer to the school’s admission policy.
The planned admission number per class for our school is 30. This means that we can admit up to 30 pupils into each year group.
Reception 2021 – If your child is born between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 they are due to start reception class in September 2021. Please apply on-line using the link below. The link (eAdmissions) will go live on September 1st 2020 and you must complete your application by 15th January 2021. You may submit your application to the school (supplementary information form) at any time but no later than 15th January 2021. You will find out the outcome from Barnet Council on 16th April 2021.
Parents can apply for a place in our Reception class from the September after their child is three years old, ready for admission in the September when they are already four years old. The normal deadline for the application for Reception Year is January of the year they are due to start. Full details can be found on the Barnet Primary Schools Admissions Guide.
Parents who wish to apply for our school should apply on-line to the Local Authority as well as completing the St John’s Supplementary Information Form. If you are not able to apply on-line you can telephone the Admissions Department on 020 8359 7651 and request an application form. There is also an additional application form to complete for the school.
